Public Hearing for Proposed Industrial Rule Changes

Summary: Adopt new LRAPA Titles: 29, 31, 35, 37, 40, 41, 42, and 44. Amend existing LRAPA Titles: 12, 30, 32, 33, 34, 36, 37, 38, 46, 48, 49, and 50. Repeal existing LRAPA Title 35. Renumber existing LRAPA Title 37 to Title 44. Title 45 is listed below for proposed rule change completeness but is not part of the formal comment request at this time. LRAPA will be requesting formal public input on Title 45 and the new LRAPA local air toxics program at a later time.

     This rulemaking proposes to streamline and update the air quality permitting process by clarifying requirements, eliminating duplicative and conflicting standards, keeping rules in line with federal requirements, and correcting errors. If adopted, the proposed revisions would simplify, and better align rules with the Federal Clean Air Act while maintaining the same level of environmental protection and stringency.
